… Importantly, this is not an ordinary discussion-group, for several reasons. First, as the word “companionship” implies, the relationship among companions is very special. Unlike discussion-groups in which participants express personal opinions and make statements, philosophical companions think in togetherness, “resonating” with each other as well as with the text. Second, as the word “contemplative” implies, companions think and interact from the deeper aspect of their being.
