RETREAT OF DEEP PHILOSOPHY (ITALY, 3.2020)

ByRan Lahav

Sep 3, 2020

All are invited to a quiet retreat of Deep Philosophy, to cultivate our inner depth and our depth-understanding of basic life-issues.

What is Deep Philosophy?

In Deep Philosophy we contemplate from our inner depth on brief philosophical texts, in the togetherness of a group, using various contemplative techniques.

One example of a contemplative technique is “precious speaking”: Participants “resonate” with a short philosophical text and with each other, giving voice to the ideas that surface in their minds. They limit their speaking to precise words, formulating them as if they were precious gems. The result is poetic sentences that combine into a rich network of ideas, creating a sense of depth, preciousness, and togetherness.
